In my view it’s absolutely important to understand that each relationship is built from two individuals. And the stronger you belief in the strength and weaknesses of each of you, the stronger your relationship can become.
There is no point in giving yourself up to the point where you denying yourself. Each of you has their own dreams, their own aspirations and their own flaws. To make your relationship a long lasting one you need to understand the strength, dreams and quirks of your partner. You need to see and know your own to the same degree.
The actual fun starts when you value your partner’s individualism and cherish the greatness which comes out of the combination of your two beings.
My tip: don’t try to make the other one a copy of your own view on life. Stay curious, stay open minded and keep learning from each other.
